WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama says he’s confident interests will be aligned more than in the past when he meets with foreign leaders at an April summit to discuss the worldwide economic troubles.

He says he wants to make sure the stimulus efforts of all countries are “sufficiently robust.” He also says he wants to achieve consensus on financial regulatory reform to take place in each country. Another topic, Obama says, will be emerging markets and preventing their collapse.

The Group of 20 nations is meeting next month in London.

The group includes not only the world’s wealthiest nations but also major developing countries such as China, India and Brazil.
