AUBURN – Police arrested an Auburn woman Saturday night after witnesses told them that she rammed her truck into a parked vehicle multiple times before fleeing.

Karen Lynn Ritchie, 39, of 54 Lake St., was charged by Auburn police with one count each of operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. It was Ritchie’s second arrest for operating under the influence.

According to police, Ritchie was traveling on Elm Street just west of High Street at about 9:25 p.m. when her pickup struck a parked truck owned by Curtis Conrad Rice, 28, of Auburn. Witnesses said Ritchie drove into the back of Rice’s truck, backed up, then struck the vehicle three more times before fleeing the scene. She was followed by a witness who called police.

Damage to Ritchie’s 2008 Toyota truck was estimated at $15,000; to Rice’s 1997 GMC pick-up truck, $10,000.
