BUCKFIELD – The Oddfellow Theater will present the band Skosh, a blend of rock-funk and acid-jazz with a full-scale visual performance Saturday, March 28. The band placed third in the state in the Reindeer Records annual Rock-Off.

Every Skosh show features a trio of drums, electric guitar and bass with an occasional trumpet-playing gorilla.

The music is the soundtrack for this multimedia production, complete with video projection, black-light effects, fog, strobe, world-class jugglers and a little break dancing.

Skosh is made up of musicians Jedidiah and Elijah Allen and Tyler Russell, and jugglers Shane Miclon and Aaron Dewitt.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $5, will be available at the door.

Proceeds will go to help Miclon and Dewitt on their quest for the 2009 Circus Smirkus Summer tour. They passed the audition in January and are two of the three Mainers who were selected.

The two are now working to raise nearly $5,000 each to make the tour. They will perform 72 shows in seven weeks throughout New England with two stops in Maine. To learn more, go to www.smirkus.org.
