AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Police in Augusta are searching for a gunman who held up a credit union and fled with a shopping bag full of cash.
Investigators told WCSH-TV that the man walked into the Maine Education Credit Union on South Chestnut Street on Wednesday morning and demanded money. Witnesses said he was wearing a black mask and a hooded sweatshirt and had a silver handgun.
Police cordoned off the area and were using tracking dogs to look for the suspect.
