AUBURN – Kevin Mitchell has joined Rinck Advertising as an associate. Mitchell provides media planning, consumer correspondence and account management services to regional clients from Rinck Advertising’s downtown Auburn office. In addition, he helps manage special events and promotional tours throughout Maine.

Mitchell comes to Rinck with a background in marketing, graphic design and video production. He has more than four years’ marketing experience, having worked seasonally as a brand ambassador for Dick’s Sporting Goods Outdoor Adventure Tour, and for four years as a marketing assistant at the University of Maine, campus recreation department.

Mitchell is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in new media with a minor in studio art, and received a certificate in Doug Hall’s Innovative Engineering program.

A Sen. George J. Mitchell scholar, he received the 2007 Leon and Lisa Gorman Pioneer Award that recognizes a Mitchell scholar who has demonstrated qualities of leadership, character and hard work. He is on the Mitchell Institute alumni council.

Mitchell is a native of Minot, where he lives. He is an active member in his community and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Katrina Relief work.
