LEWISTON – Comedienne Karen Morgan, a finalist on TV’s “Search for the Funniest Mom in America,” will perform Friday, April 17, at St. Mary’s Health System’s annual fundraiser.

Morgan developed her sharp wit during her years as a trial attorney. She later became a stay-at-home mom, where she gleaned material for her comedy routine. The Georgia native also humorously reflects on her Southern roots as she raises her family here in Maine.

St. Mary’s comedy after hours and angel auction will be at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for happy hour with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music by the Three Point Trio, followed by live and silent auctions, Morgan’s performance and then dessert.

Proceeds will benefit St. Mary’s With All Our Hearts Capital Campaign to expand its emergency department and to build a new outpatient medical building in Auburn.
