We remember the Great Depression, World War II and the Korean War. We also remember the good and bad years that followed. But, in all that time, we can’t remember our government (both federal and state) being so out of touch with the people.
For the first time in our lives, we are worried about our country. The government is out of control and incompetent. A government that cannot take care of its own business should not try to run a private business. The next thing the government will tell us is how to wipe our noses, or how to take a shower.
It is time for the American people to wake up and say “Enough is enough.”
This is a great country. Let’s not destroy it.
Our hope is that we leave a better America to our children and future generations, not a bankrupt nation.
Theodore and Eleanor Heidrich, Oxford
