LEWISTON – Shelly Barnett, PMH-NP, has joined Common Ties Mental Health Services to provide medication management services for adults with mental health illness.
Barnett earned her master of science nursing degree in adult psychiatry from the University of Southern Maine, and is credentialed through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Colby College.
She has worked in community and inpatient facilities in southern Maine, working from a trauma-informed background with her clients. She enjoys collaborating with therapists and primary care practitioners in order to give her clients integrated, coordinated, and comprehensive care.
Barnett conducts a psychiatric evaluation of needs, provides education about treatment options, and prescribes and monitors psychiatric medication for adults.
