AUGUSTA (AP) – The state energy office says the average cash price for heating oil in Maine has dropped to $2.06 a gallon.
The price is four cents less than last week.
Actual prices reported Monday varied widely from dealer to dealer, with the low of $1.60 found in southwestern Maine and the high of $2.35 in the northern part of the state.
Kerosene prices statewide also were lower at $2.51 a gallon. The price has droped three cents from the week before.
The Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security is continuing its weekly surveys beyond the end of the heating season.
