WATERFORD – Nancy Allen Barker, 65, of Higgins Road, Waterford, passed away on May 2, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Her faith and inner strength amazed everyone who knew her.

She was born in Lovell, Oct. 21, 1943, daughter of Geraldene Galloway and Rex Allen and graduated from Fryeburg Academy.

She was a kind, loving, generous and extremely caring person with a true heart of gold. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, crafts, shopping, cooking and going to camp.

Her greatest joy came from time spent with her granddaughter, with whom she traveled to her dream destination of Graceland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Errol “John” Barker of Waterford; a daughter, Amy and husband, Floyd Pike, of Stoneham; son, Nicholas and wife, Sharon, of Norway; a beautiful granddaughter, Denali; two brothers, Neil and Linda Allen of Lovell and Jeffrey and Barbara Allen of Waterford; three sisters, Jane and Dennis Perry of South Paris, Jeannine and Bradley Nelson of Winslow and Joanne Allen and her partner, Jay Quinn, of Gardiner; two sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews.
