GRAY – After a grueling 13-inning pitchers’ duel, Lissy Enright doubled in three runs to lift York to a 4-1 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC softball game Wednesday.

According to the new MPA tiebreaking procedure, when a contest enters 13 innings of play, the player who made the last out from the previous inning automatically starts on second with no outs in the top of each half inning thereafter. With this procedure in action, Sagina Siccone began the 14th inning on second. An error by Gray-NG put York’s (4-1) Emily Marshall on base before Alex Rennie hit a single. Enright then cleared the bases for the unsurmountable three-run lead.
