ROCKPORT – A pair of races will be held Sunday to benefit the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.

“Maine Sport Mayhem” will feature a mountain bike race at 10 a.m. and a 5-kilometer trail run at noon. Both events will begin at Maine Sport on Route 1. All mountain bikers must have an EFTA license. A one-day license is included in the $25 raceday registration fee. Entry for the run os $10. It is $30 to participate in both races.

Fosbury returning to Bowdoin camp

BRUNSWICK – Olympic Gold Medal winner Dick Fosbury will be back in Maine this summer directing track camp at Bowdoin College.

Fosbury won the 1968 Olympic high jump with a revolutionary technique which is now known as the Fosbury Flop.

Instruction in all events will be offered by coaches and all-star athletes who have been successful at the high school, college and international level.

The track camp will run from June 28-July 2.
