AUBURN – Samantha Dean scored the only overtime goal the Eddies would need and Carmen Lasagna added a pair for good measure to lead Edward Little to its first win of the season, an 11-8 victory in extra time over visiting Mountain Valley on Thursday.

Alicia Large led all scorers with five goals for Edward Little (1-5), which jumped out to a 3-1 lead at the half. Liz Barclay stopped 13 shots in the win.

Emily Child and Ayla Allen notched three goals each for the Falcons (3-5), while Brittany Coulombe netted a pair. Hollie Theriault stopped 10 shots in taking the loss.

Softball

Valley 8, Rangeley 5

RANGELEY – Valley exploded for six runs in the sixth to pull out a come-from-behind win over Rangeley, 8-5, in softball action Thursday.

Ashley Hines and Whitney Vincent had two hits apiece for Valley. Karissa Allen had two hits, including a two-run double, for Rangeley (0-8). Carina Pathiakis added two hits and Lauren White an RBI double for the Lakers (0-8).

Boys’ lacrosse

Bonny Eagle 14, St. Dom’s 10

WEST BUXTON – Bonny Eagle erupted for six goals in the fourth quarter to come away with a 14-10 victory over St. Dom’s in a boy’s lacrosse tilt Thursday afternoon.

Matt Hanson led the undefeated Scots (6-0) with nine goals and one assist. Zach Latif and Chris Smith chipped in with two goals each, while a single tally from Wade Severance completed the scoring. Nate Hopkins made seven saves to notch the win.

Ben Adams has five goals for the Saints (4-2) while Tim Day registered a hat trick. Cody Rodrigue turned aside 11 shots between the posts.

Baseball

Rangeley 19, Valley 0

RANGELEY – Eric White struck out seven batters in five innings as Rangeley rolled over Valley 19-0 in EWC baseball action Thursday afternoon.

Zac Abbott led the Lakers (8-0) with five hits and five RBIs, while White had two hits and three RBIs. Andrew Tereleski also contributed with two RBIs,

while Greg Marshall belted out a pair of hits.
