A public listening session on what people want in their new state park will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Area High School in Turner.
The meeting will begin with an open house to meet the advisory committee members and view exhibits about the park. A formal presentation by state officials and a question-and-answer period for public comment will follow.
Free bus service to the event is being offered by the state via Western Maine Transportation Services. The bus will pick up passengers at 5:30 p.m. at the front entrance of Lewiston City Hall and at 5:40 p.m. at the bus stop at Great Falls Plaza in Auburn. The bus will leave the meeting at 8:30 p.m.
