OXFORD – Police were kept on their toes Tuesday as three women were charged with shoplifting at Hannaford.

Police arrested Nancy Plante, 30, of Allen Hill Road in Oxford; Alyssa Louise Vinton, 21, of Dayville, Mass.; and Kristine M. Jensen, 39, of Scarborough. The arrests occurred at 11:30 a.m., 2:20 p.m. and 5:25 p.m.

Chief Jon Tibbetts of the Oxford Police Department said the thefts were unrelated.

“We usually don’t get that many in one day,” he said.

Jensen also had a warrant for theft out of Cumberland County and received an additional charge of violation of bail conditions. Plante has been indicted in a Bethel robbery in September, in which a Key Bank manager was robbed at gunpoint. Plante has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
