LEWISTON – A Memorial Mass honoring the life of Sylvio Sirois was celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston.

Prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home preceded the memorial service.

The Rev. Joseph Daniels officiated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

During the mass, words of remembrance were expressed by Mr. Sirois’ nephew, Paul Trottier.

Following the committal prayers, the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard played “taps.”

Our country’s flag was then presented Mr. Sirois’ son, Charles Meintzchel.
