Spectacular honor
As a native of Auburn and a graduate of Edward Little High School, I am very proud of the honor and respect the city of Auburn and especially the Auburn Public Works Department gave to Thomas J. French, a 25-year employee of the Public Works Department.
From the Auburn Police Department and Sheriff Department escorts, to the spectacular honor that the APW and Tom’s coworkers showed, it was beyond words. To see all the trucks and equipment lining Gracelawn Avenue, to the huge American flag at the end … every time I remember it, I get goosebumps.
What a way to say goodbye to Tom.
So, my thanks to Auburn; it make me proud.
