TURNER – Voters at a special town meeting Monday will be asked to authorize the Board of Selectmen to buy a 3,200-square-foot parcel on Fish Street owned by Raymond and Rebecca Lavoie.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.

The land runs parallel to the north side of Fish Street and would allow the road to be relocated 15 feet from the river’s embankment.

The board will also be seeking authorization to use $1,200 from unappropriated surplus to buy the land. The regularly scheduled selectman meeting will follow.
