RINDGE, N.H. (AP) – The New Hampshire state Marine Patrol has identified a man who drowned in a lake in Rindge as 59-year-old Jonathan Watkins of Hubbardston, Mass.
Marine Patrol officers were called Saturday evening to Lake Monomonac for a report of a missing person.
Authorities say Watkins had left the shore on an inner tube, but that the tube was later spotted without him on it.
A search followed, and Watkins’ body was found at about 7:40 p.m. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
