WESTMORELAND, N.H. (AP) – A man jailed since January as a habitual motor vehicle offender was found dead Wednesday morning in his bed at the county jail in Westmoreland, N.H.
State Police say 33-year-old Stewart Clark was found by another inmate and then a corrections officer around 6:30 a.m.
Jail personnel and emergency medical technicians tried in vain to resuscitate him.
Police told The Keene Sentinel the death does not appear to be suspicious but an autopsy is planned.
Clark had been at the jail since Jan. 22.
