Doris Inez DeMillo
JAY — A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Doris Inez DeMillo was held Saturday at St. Rose of Lima in Jay, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant. Those in attendance sang, “Those Who See Light” before Mass and the gathering hymn was “How Great Thou Art.” The Psalm was “All My Days,” the offertory, “In the Garden” and during communion, “Peace.” The final commendation hymn was “Song of the Angels” and recessional was “Rock of Ages.” Grandchildren, Aaron DeMillo and Brittany Salisbury offered the first and second readings respectively. Doris’ son, Francisco Timothy “Tim” DeMillo shared a eulogy for his mother. A bagpiper played from the front lawn of church as everyone departed to process to the Jay Hill Cemetery for interment. Following the committal the family welcomed everyone in attendance to LaFleur’s restaurant in Jay for a time of fellowship and refreshment. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
