Antoinette B. Therrien
1917 – 2009
LEWISTON – Antoinette B. Therrien, 92, of 27 Baril St., Lewiston, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, July 2, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born in Lewiston on March 19, 1917, she was the daughter of Joseph and Angelina Gendron Bussiere. Educated in local schools, she married Rodolphe T. Therrien Sr., on May 30, 1936. Mr. Therrien passed away on Dec. 30, 2002. Toni was employed for many years in the local mills, and was an excellent seamstress and tailor, making clothes for her children, even a wedding dress. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, being with her children and grandchildren, and was an avid card and board game player.

A member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, she is survived by four sons, Robert and wife, Barbara, of Meriden, Conn., Bertrand and wife, Elaine, of Unity, Rodolphe Jr. and wife, Irene, and Richard and wife, Pauline, all of Lewiston; four daughters, Pauline and companion, Robert Dionne, of Lewiston and Sarasota, Fla., Yvette and husband, Alfred Silva, of Lewiston, Claire and husband, Steve Hacker, of Minco, Okla., and Therese and husband, Rick Parent, of Lewiston. Also surviving are t23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Jean Robert Maheau and Wilfred Baril, both of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Oliva Bussiere; and five sisters, Laura St. Laurent, Yvonne Coulombe, Toni’s twin sister Cecile Baril, Rita Dumont and Gilda Fontaine.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staffs of Montello Manor and CMMC for the excellent care they gave Toni over the years.
