PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – Boston Red Sox shortstop Jed Lowrie is playing with the Portland Sea Dogs as part of his injury rehabilitation assignment.

Lowrie joined the team Monday for an afternoon game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester, N.H. He will be with the team when it returns to Portland on Tuesday.

Lowrie has been sidelined since April 12 with a wrist injury. He was an Eastern League all-star when playing for the Sea Dogs in 2007.
