LEWISTON — Celebrating the release of its first CD, “Strange Circumstance,” Auburn rock band Repeat Offenders will perform a live set Saturday, July 18, at Bull Moose music store.
The acoustic performance is an all-ages event, free and open to the public. Band members will be available to sign copies of their new CD.
The Bull Moose event coincides with the band’s official CD release party, happening the same night at Crazy 8’s in Paris with supporting band Sidecar Radio. This is a 21+ show.
“I can’t wait to walk into the music store I grew up in and see the new Repeat Offenders album on the shelf,” said the band’s guitarist, Ben Williamson. “I grew up shopping at the Lewiston Bull Moose, then I worked there for two years. I met my fiancée there.”
“I worked at Bull Moose so I could be close to music every day. Now I’m out there making music, just hoping others enjoy it as much as I do, and that it inspires another kid to do the same,” he added.
Besides Williamson, who also provides vocals, Repeat Offenders is made up of Nick Racioppi, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Byron Malcolm, bass; and James Sheller, drums. The band members started performing together in the summer of 2008. Each member has been actively involved in the song-writing process, and the mix of musical backgrounds is apparent in their sound.
Repeat Offenders will begin playing at 5 p.m. The Bull Moose store is in the Lewiston Mall at 20 East Ave.
