Ice cream social
PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will hold its annual ice cream social dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, South Paris. John Thompson, club caller, will call mainstream alternating with plus level and Carol Stewart will cue the round dancing.
The opportunity to make sundaes will take place at intermission. Casual dress is suggested. Admission is $6 a person. Non-dancer friends are invited to watch at no charge.

WEST PARIS — The Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays in July and August, except Aug. 16,  at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St.

AARP is meeting
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet on Monday, July 13, at the First
Congregational Church, East Main Street, South Paris.   A ham and cheese quiche,
vegetable and fresh fruit will be served at noon.  The cost is $6.50 and
reservations are required by calling Ruth at 744-9069 by noon on Friday,
July 10.
The meeting will start at 1 p.m. after which Steve Wallace, Oxford Hills
director, Chamber of Commerce, will discuss upcoming plans for the
Chamber.
 
Time change
NORWAY — At the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main
St., all are welcome to join for worship, study and
fellowship.  During July and August, worship will be held at 9 a.m.  On Sunday, July 12, Tom Curtis and Joyce Franklin will provide
special music and the Rev. Leslie B. Foley will speak about “True Discipleship.” 
The nursery will be open for infants and preschoolers.  A time of fellowship

Seek classmates

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills High School Class of 1994 seeks missing classmates who are interested in attending a 15-year reunion scheduled for Oct. 10 in South Paris. Organizers have compiled a list of more than 100 people, but are trying not to leave anyone out. Classmates are urged to e-mail their mailing address to ohhs94@gmail.com to receive information about the celebration.
