Horse demo day
ANDOVER — An equine demo day with the Ellis River Riders will take place Saturday, July 11, at the Ellis River Riders show grounds on Airport Road. The public is invited to join the club to watch free demonstrations, learn about horse dentistry, distance competitive trail riding and search and rescue.
There will be several horse breeds featured and returning for the third year the roping demonstrations with the cowboys Ernest and Dean. There will be vendors, kids games, pony rides and face painting.
There is parking and food and spectator seating are available. The day will start at 10 a.m. At 6 p.m. there will be a public chicken and pulled pork barbecue, including salads, strawberry shortcake and frosted brownies.
