LISBON — Councilors have awarded the contract for center-line striping of 62 miles of town roads to Marking Inc. of Massachusetts, on its bid of $17,356. A total of 28 miles of yellow striping and 34 miles of white striping will be done.

The Town Council also awarded the contract for two 2009 truck bodies for Public Works to Howard of Fairfield on its bids of $30,485 for a stainless steel body and $16,885 for a steel body.

In other recent action, Town Manager Steve Eldridge was reappointed as Lisbon’s representative to the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments Executive Committee. Councilor Janet Henry was appointed a general assembly member.
