EAST DIXFIELD — Farmington’s Old Crow Indian Band and Steve Bull will be honored and remembered during the Countryfolk Music Theatre’s youth music scholarship weekend, July 25-26.

Several local youths will receive scholarships from donations through the year from volunteers and supporters of the local music provided during the summer months. Countryfolk each year awards the youth music scholarships to encourage youth to continue with their music. This year two special music camp scholarships will be awarded in addition to regular scholarships. Larry Bisbee said, “We have partnered with Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop to provide two scholarships to Music/Theatre Camp in August.”

This year’s scholarships will be presented in memory of Countryfolk supporter Steve Bull and in honor of past and present Old Crow Band members who have provided community music for more that fifty years.

The event is always free and for families. Donations support the Countryfolk Youth Music Scholarship Project.
