Paul F. Paradis
1950 – 2009
AUBURN — Paul F. Paradis, 59, of Monmouth, died early Monday, July 13, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin after a long courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.
He was born in Brunswick, May 14, 1950, the son of Gerard F. and Geneva (Ricker) Paradis and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1970. He then graduated from Northern Maine Technical College in 1974. He was employed as a mason all of his life.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed all sports, especially fishing and hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He was a very sociable person enjoying times spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Paradis of Lisbon and Anthony Paradis and his wife, Kathy, of Searsmont; four sisters, Faye Prue and her husband, Danny, of Auburn, Louise Lagassey of Lago, Fla., Lisa Therrien of Winthrop and Janet Grandmaison of Sabattus; several nieces, nephews and many friends; and his lab “Bud.”
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Alcide and Edmond Paradis; and two sisters, Debbie-Lee Mansir and Alicia Paradis.
The family would like to thank the Androscoggin Hospice House, Dr. Erickson, Dr. Mandell and their staff for the wonderful care they have given to Paul throughout his illness.
