BOSTON (AP) — Lots of chocolate bars, but only five golden tickets.
Borrowing a page from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” the home of the Boston Celtics and Bruins distributed 19,600 chocolate bars Thursday to promote a name change for the arena.
Inside five of the bars were the golden tickets. And while the lucky Boston-area residents who unwrapped those tickets won’t be paying Willy Wonka a visit, they will get a behind-the-scenes tour Friday of the TD Garden, formerly known as the TD Banknorth Garden.
For one of the five golden ticket holders, a much bigger prize is in store: A drawing will be held with the winner getting tickets to all Celtics and Bruins games and other events at the arena during the 2009-2010 season.
