FENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) – Authorities investigating a fatal crash in Genesee County say they turned up a 40- to 50-pound bale of marijuana on the roadway nearby.

The Flint Journal, WNEM-TV and WJRT-TV report the crash happened Friday afternoon in Fenton Township, near Flint. The driver of the Corvette lost control on southbound U.S. 23, clipped a semi truck and flipped.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name wasn’t released. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.

Investigators are trying to determine where the marijuana came from.
