Steven Van Syckel of Hiram will demonstrate how he crafts barrels, buckets and firkins at the Mountain Man Rendezvous on July 25-26 during Youth Music Scholarship Weekend at the Countryfolk Music Theatre in Dixfield. Van Syckel’s is one of numerous exhibitions that include trapping demos and displays, wood carvings, fly-tieing, a moose antler display, chain saw carving, prospecting displays of gems and minerals, tomahawk and knife throwing, and much more. In addition, there will be roving Rendezvous troubadours playing guitars, fiddle and accordian, as well as re-enactors; and many other musicians.
