STRONG — Carl Durward Chadbourne, 47, of Strong, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, July 19, the result of a motorcycle accident on Route 145 in Strong.
He was born May 4, 1962, in Farmington, the son of Basil Ardain Chadbourne and Lorraine (Hinckley) Wallace. He received his education in Mount Abram schools, and was a self-employed woodsman, entrepreneur and “Jack of all trades.” He was also employed at Verso Paper in Jay.
He is survived by his son, Carl D. Chadbourne, of Belgrade; his mother, Lorraine H. Wallace, of Strong; two brothers, Basil Chadbourne and his fiancé, Patti Toothaker, of W. Freeman, and Mark Hovey and his companion, Cocoa, of Strong; one nephew, Dylan Chadbourne, of W. Freeman; one niece, Meika Toothaker, of W. Freeman; several cousins; longtime friend and companion, Barbara Norton, of New Vineyard; friend, Tony Perone, of Strong; and many other dear and trusted friends and “little buddies.”
