PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater will present two variety shows on Saturday, July 25, at its annual Big Barn Shows fundraiser. The 60-minute Big Barn Family Show features physical comedy, mime and juggling and is a chance for kids of all ages to enjoy a cast of Barn performers. The show begins at 4 p.m.
The Big Barn Spectacular offers dance, eccentric characters and sketch comedy. The roster includes mime and dance by Maine Arts Commission Fellowship winner Karen Montanaro, the antics of the Emmy-nominated Fritz Grobe and Michael Lane Trautman, and some surprises. The show begins at 8 p.m.
A silent auction presenting some one-of-a-kind items will be held in the lobby before both shows. Where else can you bid on a lifetime supply of Sticky Notes or a tour of EepyLabs, home of Eepybird.com (the guys who made the world-famous Diet Coke and Mentos video)? Also up for auction are tickets to Buckfield’s Oddfellow Theater and the Theater at Monmouth.
Founded by Tony Montanaro in 1972, Celebration Barn has helped nurture some of the country’s finest touring artists and has earned an international reputation.
Tickets for the 4 p.m. family matinee are $12 for all seats. Tickets for the Big Barn Spectacular are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors and students. Reservations are encouraged; call 743-8452. Celebration Barn Theater is on Stock Farm Road, just off Route Route 117. For more information, visit www.CelebrationBarn.com.
