MACEDONIA, Ohio — Ruth L. D’Amour (nee Mercier), 79, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away very peacefully and with dignity, after a very brief illness, on May 17.
She was born in Lewiston, May 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Alfred and Loretta (Leclerc). A beloved and selfless mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister who is missed by all those that loved her. She was married to Arthur C. D’Amour, on March 26, 1953.
Arthur C., 89, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Stow, Ohio, on June 11, to be with his wife of 56 years.
He was born in Lewiston, Dec. 13, 1919, the son of the late Alphonse and Anna (Mailhot). A cherished and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle who is very much missed.
They are survived by daughters, Joline Birchall (Chuck) and Candace; grandchildren, Charlene (Wayne), Chuck Jr. (Lisa) and Jerel (Nicole); great-grandchildren, Michelle, Bradley, Samantha and Kevin; she is survived by siblings, Jackie Lafrance (Gerry), Bert (Aline), Bob (Betty) and Al (Claire); and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother, Roger and sister-in-law, Rita.
He is survived by daughters, Yvette Taylor and Doris Remillard.
He was predeceased by sisters, Fernande Levasseur and Theresa Guerin; and brother, Fernand.
