DIXFIELD – The following incidents
were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.

Vandalism

An Averill Road resident reported at
3:50 p.m. on July 19 that someone had poured sand into the oil section
of the motor of her 1994 Toyota as it was parked in her driveway.
Police estimate damage of at least $2,000 for the replacement or
rebuilding of the vehicle’s transmission. Police have a suspect.

Theft

A camper at Rover’s Campground, located
on the Severy Hill Road, reported at 6:50 p.m. on July 9 that someone
had stolen a gas grill and Radio Flyer red wagon from the yard. The
items are valued at about $200.

Burglary

An unoccupied home located on Mill
Street was broken into sometime prior to its reporting on July 10. The door was kicked in and the left open. Nothing appears to
be missing.
