Sharon R. Call

1944 – 2009

TURNER — Sharon R. Call, 65, of Barrell Shop Road, Greene, died unexpectedly while visiting at her mother’s home on Friday, July 24, as a result of an accident that occurred on Auburn Road in Turner.

She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Lewiston, the daughter of Ernest P. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Briggs) Brown. Sharon was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner and Bliss Business School in Lewiston.

On Nov. 20, 1965, in Turner, she married her husband of 43 years, Ronald Call of Greene. Sharon was a homemaker, devoting her time to her family. For the past three years, she had been caring for her mother, Betty.

She enjoyed cooking, especially making desserts. She attended Turner Village Church, was a member of the North Turner Senior Citizens and the Greene Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Brown of Turner; her husband, Ronald Call of Greene; three sons, Andrew Call and his wife, Nancy, of Dresden Mills, Edward Call and his wife, Cynthia, of Greene, and Christopher Call of Auburn; her daughter, Rhonda Call of Lewiston; a sister, Constance Mower and her husband, Phil, of Greene; three brothers, Randy Brown and his wife, Linda, of Augusta, James Brown and his wife, Julie, of Turner, and William Brown and his wife, Carrie, of Scarborough; five grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and her aunt, Ruth Lind, of Sabattus.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Audrey Call, on Sept. 7, 2007.
