Council outing

POLAND — Members of Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America, will hold their annual summer outing on Friday, July 31, at Hutchinson’s camp on Tripp Lake. Social hour will begin at 4 p.m., with a lobster dinner being served at 5 p.m.

Special guests will be Supreme Counselor James Walsh and his wife, Yolande, as they begin their journey around the USA and Canada. Reservations must be made by calling Bob Blanchard at 783-9471 or Doug Larrabee at 345-9533. 

Bridge play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on July 21 were as follows: first, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; fourth, Martha Young and Dick Allen; fifth, Nancy Lindgren and David Lock.

Strata B, first, Martha Young and Dick Allen; second, Lue Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; third/fourth tie, Claire Lyons and Marta Clements with Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.

Winners at Schooner Estates in Auburn on July 22 were as follows: first, Martine Begert and Mike Quinn; second, Les Buzzell and John Hackett; third, Rosemarie Goodwin and Paul Barber; fourth/first in B, Martha Young and Dick Allen; second in B, Lue Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.
