Kenneth R. Cunningham

PORTLAND – Kenneth Ralph Cunningham, 50, died July 22, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, following a brief illness.

Ken, known to many as ‘Quiet Thunder’ or Q.T., resided in Old Orchard Beach for several years with his wife and soulmate, Sherry (Cloud Woman) Hanson.

He was born in Valhalla, N.Y., to Kenneth and Mary Cunningham, both deceased.

Ken moved to Maine in 1990, from New York. He did several types of work including car detailing, public works, massage therapy and phlebotomy. Most recently he was employed as a manager at Maine Indoor Karting.

He was an active member of Spider Moon Teaching Lodge as well as a member of the Mountain Spirit powwow drum. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group and rode motorcycles all his adult life, which he loved.

Ken was a caring, generous, honest man of integrity with a great sense of humor who loved being with and helping family and friends. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by one sister, Joanne Margetko, her husband, Bill, and
their two sons, Bill Jr. and Mathew, who reside in Newport Richie, Fla.
