LEWISTON — Two people were transported to the hospital with major injuries after a head-on collision Monday morning in front of 1750 Lisbon St.
Jason S. Cole, 34, of Bowdoin, and Edward C. Matthews, 34, of Lewiston, were taken to Central Maine Medical Center with major injuries, according to an accident report filed by the Lewiston Police Department. No information about their injuries was available as of Monday night.
According to the report, Cole was outbound on Lisbon Street at 8:30 a.m. when his vehicle left its lane and hit Matthews’ inbound Jeep head-on.
Damage to the 2005 4-door Chevrolet driven by Cole was estimated at $10,000; to the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Matthews at $10,000.
