AUBURN — The varied music styles of Downeast Brass will take center stage at L/A Arts’ Music in the Parks concert Thursday, July 30. The free concert will begin at noon at Festival Plaza.
Downeast Brass is made up of five experienced musicians from southern and central Maine who enjoy playing a range of styles from classical to Dixieland. Founder and arranger Dwight Tibbetts keeps the talents and skills of each of his colleagues in mind as he arranges music for the group.
This is the last noontime Music in the Parks performance of the summer to take place in Auburn. August concerts will be held at Fountain Park in Lewiston, next to DaVinci’s restaurant and behind FX Marcotte Furniture Store on Mill Street.
If it rains, the concert will be held at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St., Lewiston, same date and time.
