BETHEL — Every Sunday afternoon in August, the air will be filled with music wafting from Bethel Common, courtesy of the Mahoosuc Arts Council’s Summer Bandstand Series.

Kicking off the series at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, will be Jewel Clark and Donnie Katlin, who have a long history of performing together. Although both have received significant musical recognition throughout the years, what they enjoy most is simply playing and laughing together.

Performing a mix of country, folk, blues and rock ‘n’ roll, spiced with originals here and there, Clark and Katlin often utilize their artistic licenses, taking old familiar songs and presenting them in a whole new way. And of course, there’ll be some yodeling, an artform Clark inherited from her dad, Yodeling Slim Clark.

Other artists in the concert series lineup are the 50/50 Blues Band, Aug. 9; the ambient/New Age flute of Conni St. Pierre, Aug. 16; and the Celtic fusion of the Swamp Donkeys, Aug. 23.
