AUBURN — On Aug. 8-9, UU Theater will offer family entertainment in “Once Upon A Pandora’s Box,” with Zeus capturing five villains from classic fairy tales and sealing them in a box.

See what happens when two children unwittingly release the contents. Will Tabitha outwit the Evil Queen? Will Louis fall prey to the Big Bad Wolf?

In this outrageously funny fantasy, good and evil battle forces with humankind’s power of hope prevailing.

The show features Jephthah Peters as Zeus and villains played by Jared Fiori (Rumplestiltskin), Jen Hodson (Wicked Witch) Patricia Phillips (Evil Queen), Brooks Schandelmeier (Big Bad Wolf) and Julia Terry (13th Fairy). Soleil MacDonald and Conor Moreau play the children who open the box. Tanya Blaisdell, Justin Cedrone, Karen Lane, Courtney and Keegan Moreau, Alicia Proux, Madeline Strange and Sawyer Templeton round out the cast.

Working behind the scenes are Karen Lane, director; Toby Haber, producer; Carolyn and Sarah Fensore and Mina Matthews, set design; Ann Breau and Julia Terry, costumes and make-up; and Sarah Carbonneau, stage manager.
The play will be staged at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug 8, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug 9. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children, with group discounts available. The First Universalist Church of Auburn is at 169 Pleasant St. For more information or to reserve tickets, call 783-0461.
