OXFORD — In a brief special town meeting Tuesday, voters formally accepted Noble Road as a town way. It connects Hebron Road in Oxford and Inman Road in Paris.
Town Manager Michael Chammings said six people attended the meeting, which lasted about five minutes. He estimated there are about 14 homes on the road.
Chammings said he received complaints about damage to the dirt road due to frost, but no record of Noble Road being a town way could be found. He said having the property owners along it agree to a town meeting was the least expensive way to resolve the issue of the road’s status.
The road will be listed in the Registry of Deeds as being 1,774 feet long and four rods wide. Chammings said the road’s renovation will be designed by an engineer and put out to bid.
