MONMOUTH — The following juniors from Monmouth Academy attended Boys State at Thomas College in Waterville from June 21 to 25:
Elliott Kahl is son of Danielle and Robert Kahl. His future plans include the U.S. Coast Guard Academy to major in engineering. His activities include cross country, basketball, baseball and track and field teams. He is a member of the Academic Decathlon team and the National Honor Society.
David Kananowitz is son of Daniel Kananowitz and Tiffany Tomaso. He plans to attend a university in New England to major in political science and/or psychology. He is involved in the Academic Advocate, band, National Honor Society, track and field and is employed as a group fitness instructor.
The Boys State delegates were sponsored by Monmouth American Legion Post 204.
