MEXICO — Police arrested a second
suspect in a May 24 burglary and theft case that has been under
investigation by the Mexico Police Department for more than two
months.

Chad Breton, 34, of Knox Street,
Rumford, was arrested at noon Thursday and charged with felony
theft of $16,500 cash, $350 in jewelry and felony theft of 16 OxyContin pills from a Tucker Street residence. He was
also charged with criminal mischief as a result of forced entry into
the home.

He was transported to Oxford County
Jail where he is being held on $20,000 cash bail, a jail
employee said.

Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said other suspects
are also under investigation for the same incident.

Terra Tidswell, 33, Cumberland Street,
Rumford, was arrested on the same charges on Wednesday. Both Tidswell
and Breton remain incarcerated.

Rumford police Capt. Dan Garbarini and
Sgt. James Bernard assisted Hodsdon with the arrests.
