WILTON — Devona E. West, 83, of Wilton, formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., died Saturday morning, Aug. 1, at her son’s home.

She was born Nov. 21, 1925, in Thorpe, W.V., the daughter of Thomas Samuel and Ruth Josephine (Cox) Dunn.

On Aug. 25, 1965, she married Herbert West in Ohio. In 1968 they moved to New Port Richey, Fla., where they made their home until relocating to Wilton to be with their son and his family in November 2006.

Mrs. West worked as a loving homemaker to her husband and family throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing, reading and being in the outdoors going for walks.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Wilton; two sons, Robert of Wilton and James of New Baltimore, Mich.; a sister, June Linenger of East Point, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Robert Lawrence and Michael Von of Wilton.

She was predeceased by a sister, Iris Neely; and a brother, James Dunn.
