AUBURN — An elusive water leak has forced Community Clinical Services, an affiliate of St. Mary’s Health System, to close down its Court Street Family Practice in Auburn and temporarily move the office’s three doctors elsewhere in the Twin Cities.

The 871 Court St. building started experiencing a water leak last year, a spokeswoman for St. Mary’s Health System said. Several times workers thought they had fixed the problem, replacing the roof and ceiling tiles and repairing duct work and the air conditioner, but the leak always returned. This summer, officials decided to close the building to business so workers could better track down the problem.

The building was  closed on July 28. Officials hope to reopen the practice in about a month, but the date will depend on how long it takes workers to find the problem and fix it.

The practice’s three doctors are now seeing patients in other Lewiston/Auburn medical buildings. Miriam Buckberg has moved to 100 Campus Ave. in Lewiston. Paul David and Deborah Learson have moved to the Second Street Family Practice at 60 Second St. in Auburn.

Patients have been notified of the move. For questions, appointments or directions to the doctors’ temporary offices, patients may call the regular office number: 782-8712.
