ELLSWORTH — Applications are being accepted for the Hugh and Elizabeth Montgomery Scholarship at the Maine Community Foundation. The renewable scholarship supports residents of Franklin County who are non-traditional students (beyond high school age) returning to school to continue their education at college or technical school.
The foundation partners with Franklin County Community College Network to make this scholarship available to eligible students. Preference will be given to students for whom a scholarship would make a significant difference in their ability to attend school.
The deadline for applications is Aug. 22. For more information about the scholarship, visit www.mainecf.org or contact Betty Gensel at FCCCN, 800-517-2859.
A statewide organization, the Maine Community Foundation has worked with donors and educators since 1983 to provide Maine students with access to educational opportunities. MaineCF manages more than 400 scholarship funds.
