The annual children’s day program, featuring The Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers in “Everybody Loves Pirates,” will be presented Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Araxine Sawyer Memorial in Greene. An action-packed high sea adventure, the 55-minute show is recommended for children ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult. Admission is free. “Everybody Loves Pirates” is the story of a young girl named Lucy and her goofy friend, Little Chuck. While fishing one day, the kids discover a treasure map and set out on a quest to find their fortune. They run into a group of bumbling pirates who steal the treasure; but it all works out in the end with help from some new ocean-dwelling friends. The show features numerous props and gadgets and a few musical highlights; and the crew is happy to show youngsters how everything behind the scenes works. For more information, call 946-5311.
